Have you ever wondered what to do with all those little scraps of fabric? Have you considered making key fobs? They are a great little stocking filler at this time of the year and are always useful. For teenagers, making them in Harry Potter or Marvel fabric will keep them happy!

Instructions
Hardware:
1¼” wide Key Fob set (available from craft stores on the internet)
Small pliers to close the fob teeth
Fabric & Interfacing:
Cut 1 piece of fabric 5” wide x 10” long.
Cut 1 piece of medium fusible interfacing OR fusible fleece or handbag foam 1-1/4” wide x 10” long
Instructions
First create the strap:
1. Fold the strap in half length-wise, wrong-side together, and press.
2. Open again and fold outside edges towards centerfold line and press.
3. Fold entire strip in half once again, meeting folded edges together and press
4. Add the strip of interfacing or fusible fleece by opening up the pressed strap and fusing it on the wrong side of either one of the center 2 quarter sections.
5. Refold the strap using the pressed lines.
6. Pin or clip the open edge together to keep it in place and topstitch around all 4 sides using a 1/8” seam allowance.
7. Stitch 2 more rows of evenly spaced stitching in the middle of the strap
Attach the Hardware:
8. Wrap the clamp part of the key fob in some soft fabric or fleece and using a pair of pliers, crimp it partway shut so its not open as wide, but the strap can still be inserted. Fold the strap in half so that the raw edges meet, and if necessary, trim so that they are even.
9. Insert the ends into the metal clamp. Once again, cover the clamp with fabric so that it doesn’t get scratched, and squeeze it shut with pliers.
